Hey, I’m Max, a night owl now calling Boston home. Why “now”? It’s because my parents were nomadic when I was growing up. One day we’d be checking out a new city, the next we’d be hitting the road for a long trip. Both of them worked as freelance web and graphic designers, which gave us the freedom to roam. 

We had this amazing RV that my dad poured his heart into, and it even had a computer. That’s where I got my first taste of gaming, thanks to him. I was homeschooled, which was anything but traditional. My parents didn’t believe in just textbooks and lectures. By eight, I was planning routes and reading maps, better than most kids my age. Those early adventures taught me independence, curiosity, and a knack for figuring things out.

Gaming came naturally out of all that. I started with strategy games and puzzles like Civilization and The Settlers, and before long, I was diving into RPGs like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, or exploring massive open worlds like Red Dead Redemption 2. 

These days, I work as a freelance game tester where I report bugs and give feedback on gameplay. I’m currently working with three companies, which keeps me constantly learning and discovering new worlds. On Biodesel Academy, I share those experiences, tips, and stories with fellow gamers because every adventure, whether on the road or on-screen, is better when it’s shared.
